PECULIARITIES OF EPIDEMIOLOGY AND ETIOLOGY OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS AND INFLUENZA DURING EPIDEMIC RISE OF INCIDENCE IN THE KHABAROVSK KRAI DURING 2024-2024 AND 2024-2025

Abstract

Current article presents results of epidemiological and etiological surveillance over acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the Khabarovsk krai that was conducted by Khabarovsk support station for surveillance over influenza and ARVI during the recent years (2023 and 2024). Decline of ARVI and influenza incidence rates were detected during the two latest epidemic seasons – 2023 (IV quarter of the year) – in 2024 (I quarter of the year) – and in 2024 (December) – 2025 (January-May). Monoetiological outbreak of influenza virus A/H3N2 registered in 2023-2024 as well as outbreak of mixed etiology registered in 2024-2024 that was caused by A/H1N1/pdm and B-Victoria were discussed. Interference of influenza virus and SARS-CoV-2 circulation were detected. Age-dependent connection between incidence and virus causative agents was shown. The obtained material was sent weekly in concerned institutions and governing bodies.
