WEST NILE FEVER IN AN EMPLOYEE OF NATIONAL GUARD (CASE REPORT)
Abstract
Current article presents a case of West Nile fever diagnosed in an employee of National Guard of the Russian Federation. A fourfold increase of IgG specific antibodies against the virus in paired serum was detected as well as negative test-results of ELIZA for tick-borne encephalitis. This allowed to make a diagnosis of West Nile fever, mild flu-like form. This case of West Nile fever promotes interest because it had domestic route of transmission in the Far Eastern Federal district.
