COMPARATIVE EPIDEMIOLOGY OF HEPATITIS C VIRUS-INFECTION IN ASIAN COUNTRIES

Abstract

Morbidity of hepatitis C virus (HCV)-infection, HCV genotypes, epidemic situation features in Asia in consideration of climate-geographic, racial and economic characteristics of the territories were analyzed on the basis of E-library, PubMed and Scopus databases including 254 original manuscripts. Hepatitis C has a major economic burden in Asian countries with low gross domestic product.
