Author Guidelines

All articles should be submitted to the editorial board through the electronic publishing system of the journal "Far Eastern Journal of Infectious Pathology" in accordance with author guidelines. The journal accepts the following publications:

Original article. The article should describe the results of a completed study. The allowed length of the manuscript is up to 20 typewritten pages. The article should contain: introduction; materials and methods; results and discussion; conclusion.

The introduction describes relevance of the problem under consideration, rationale of the objective of the study.

Materials and methods. This section should contain detailed information about the study.  It may be presented in individual fragments with brief subtitles. All non-traditional modifications of the methods should be described with sufficient detail. For all samples, chemical agents, animal, cell culture etc. it is necessary to specify manufacturers and/or sources precisely (including country, company, institute). If animals or people were involved in the study as research objects, the authors must indicate in the manuscript the compliance of all stages of the study with the legislation of the Russian Federation, international ethical standards and regulatory documents of the institution, as well as their approval by the relevant committees. The manuscript must clearly reflect that all people who were involved in the study gave an informed consent.

Results and discussion. This section should be described in logical sequence as individual fragments divided by subtitles. Methodological details should not duplicate the digital data presented in tables and figures. Discussion should contain detailed analysis of obtained data in comparison to literature data, which is a basis for authors’ conclusions and opinions.

Conclusion. Conclusion should be consistent with the stated goal of the study. This section should indicate further ways to implement the problem under study, if acceptable.

The Acknowledgments section is optional. In this section, authors may express gratitude to the organization sponsoring the study, colleagues who consulted the work during its implementation and/or writing, as well as technical personnel for assistance during the research. Acknowledgments for provided reagents or equipment are usually placed in the Materials and Methods section.

Review article should not exceed 20 typewritten pages, excluding the title page, abstract, list of references, and explanations of the figures. More detailed information on the review article guidelines can be requested from the editorial office.

"Case Study" should present new information or extremely rare case that has been sparsely described in the world literature. A "Case Study" should not exceed 5 typewritten pages, not counting the title page, abstract, bibliography, and figures titles.

Bibliographic Standards for Description of Quoted Publications.

Names of all authors of the paper, title of the article, the name of the journal or collection, year, issue, pages, and DOI should be listed in each reference. Names of the journals should be abbreviated in accordance with the style adopted in Index Medicus (http://www.nlm.nih.gov). For books and patents, provide the exact title.

All Russian-language references should be given in their original form.

Quoted publications in the text of the article, in figures and tables should be designated by Arabic numerals in square brackets [1, 2, 3,...]. The number of references is not limited. Do not include unpublished works in the reference list. References should be verified by the authors with the original documents. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the bibliographic data.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
