The journal has been published since 2002. The first editor and founder of the Far Eastern Journal of Infectious Pathology was the corresponding member of the RANS, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Director of the Khabarovsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology Vladislav Vladimirovich Bogach. Since 2007, the editor-in-chief of the journal has been Doctor of Medical Sciences, Director of the Khabarovsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology Olga Evgenievna Trotsenko. The FBUN Khabarovsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Federal service for surveillance on consumers rights protection and human wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) has been the founder of the Far Eastern Journal of Infectious Pathology throughout its entire history.
